Kee Engineering is led by Markee Smith, whose career traces an unusual arc. It began after graduate school at Florida State in defense: embedded and real-time systems on Raytheon naval programs, then spacecraft simulation at Northrop Grumman, environments where software met hardware and correctness was non-negotiable. From there, Amazon Web Services: data planes, event replication, and large-scale operations, where reliability is measured in the millions of events. And most recently, years of building AI at one of the world's largest enterprise software companies: shared agent infrastructure, retrieval systems, and AI features shipped to an enormous user base.

The firm exists on a simple premise: most software projects don't need a big team. They need one senior person with full ownership and no layers in between. That's the model here: one engineer, accountable end to end, working from a production-hardened framework that carries the unglamorous essentials (authentication, role-based access, audit logging, accessibility) so every project starts at sixty percent instead of zero.
